Abstract

In recent decades, Assistive Technology (AT) has made it possible to remove barriers and increase the participation of people with disabilities in educational, scientific, and professional activities. In subjects such as programming, electronics, and electrical engineering, students with visual impairments often face obstacles due to the lack of accessibility in equipment, leading to dependence on others for checking measurements and assembling circuits. This article presents ELETROPROGVOX, an integrated set of assistive devices consisting of: a tactile-accessible breadboard, designed to support the identification of tracks and insertion points; a talking multimeter, capable of providing audio readings and operating with tactile commands; and a mobile application, aimed at learning logic and programming structures with the possibility of controlling sensors and electronic components through a second adapted breadboard communicating via Bluetooth. The research is characterized as applied and oriented towards prototype development with iterative conduction based on bibliographic review and continuous validations carried out with the support of a blind person throughout the testing stages. The results indicate that the developed set increases user autonomy in tasks such as safe circuit assembly, measurement of electrical quantities, and implementation of projects with sensors. It is concluded that the integration of tactile and sound resources, in line with inclusive education guidelines, reduces barriers and promotes inclusion in the activities worked on.
