YOUTH AND ADULT EDUCATION INTEGRATED WITH EDUCATION PROFESSIONAL IN TECHNICAL COURSES IN ELECTROMECHANICAL IN BRAZIL

This study aimed to analyze the Youth and Adults Education Integrated Professional and Technological Education in Brazil. Specific objectives included a macro-level mapping of the international state of the art in this educational modality and a micro-level analysis of the curriculum of Technical Courses in Electromechanics offered by the Federal Network of Professional, Scientific, and Technological Education. The literature review highlighted educational policies, while document analysis and bibliographic research were employed as data production techniques. Results revealed 649 courses in the Youth and Adults Education Integrated Professional Education, with 137 technical courses in Electromechanics distributed across Brazilian states. Notably, only two courses are in Youth and Adult Education, indicating variations in demand and dropout rates. Similarities and differences in curriculum were identified, including workload, selection criteria, and supervised internships. Gaps in policies were noted, such as unmet targets and the need for greater attention to the formal education of the working class. The study concludes that there is room for improvements in the policy of Integrated Education of Youth and Adults with Professional and Technological Education, aiming for a more inclusive and effective educational framework.
