HEALTH WORK PROCESS DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC: CHALLENGES AND POTENTIALITIES

The main theme of this manuscript is the nuances related to the health work process during the pandemic. Thus, the aim of this article is to understand and elucidate how the health work process developed in multi-professional teams during the COVID-19 pandemic. This exploratory and descriptive study, with a qualitative approach, was carried out in the UBSFs of a municipality in Paraíba. A simple random sample selected 14 teams, totaling 31 health professionals. Data was collected from January to April 2022 using individual forms and semi-structured interviews, depending on the availability of the participants. Sociodemographic data was analyzed quantitatively and descriptively. The qualitative data followed Bardin's Content Analysis (2016) using the inductive method, going through three phases: pre-analysis, exploration of the material and thematic categorization. Atlas.ti software organized and coded the data, resulting in a word cloud of the participants' responses. During the COVID-19 pandemic, healthcare work has faced challenges and revealed potential, impacting multi-professional teams. Efficient organization and collaboration between different health professionals have been crucial to maintaining services. The pandemic has highlighted the importance of solid interpersonal relationships and sharing knowledge and responsibilities. Teams adapted quickly, reorganizing processes and implementing collaborative practices to ensure continuity and quality of care for patients. The historical context and local particularities influence and direct work in Primary Health Care (PHC), affecting the execution and orientation of work processes.
