Abstract

The present work is a critical review of the book “State of Exception: The legal form of neoliberalism”, by professor Rafael Valim. The relationship between the state of exception and the justice system in the Brazilian reality is discussed in the text, in which conservative guidelines advance that prioritize the dominant classes in detriment of fundamental guarantees and popular sovereignty.
