This essay is a theoretical study developed with the objective of analyzing the objectivity-subjectivity relationship that constitutes situations of normality, such as the “new normal” supposedly established after the Covid-19 pandemic. After characterizing what has been called the “new normal”, it resorts to the study of theorists who contribute to understanding the processes of normality. In a first moment, a dialog is established with Georges Canguilhem, in “The Normal and the Pathological”, and with Cristophe Dejours, in “The banalization of social injustice”. In a second moment, the limits of the theories of both authors are pointed out, confronting them with Georg Lukács' perspective of objectivity-subjectivity, in “Ontology of Social Being”, especially with the categories “externalization”, “alienation”, and “quotidian”.
