CORRELAÇÃO DA QUALIDADE DE SONO COM A INFLAMAÇÃO CRÔNICA - ARTRITE REUMATOIDE

Resumo

A Artrite Reumatoide (AR) é uma doença inflamatória crônica autoimune que afeta predominantemente as articulações. Seus principais sintomas incluem dor, rigidez, edema articular e distúrbios no padrão sono-vigília. A má qualidade do sono, além de ser uma consequência da sintomatologia da AR, também pode contribuir para o agravamento do processo inflamatório, influenciando negativamente a atividade da doença. Este estudo teve como objetivo investigar a correlação entre a qualidade do sono, a intensidade da dor e a atividade inflamatória em pacientes com AR. Trata-se de um estudo clínico, transversal e prospectivo, realizado com 30 pacientes do sexo feminino, diagnosticadas com AR e acompanhadas em ambulatório especializado. A qualidade do sono foi avaliada pelo Índice de Qualidade do Sono de Pittsburgh (PSQI), a atividade inflamatória, pelo escore DAS28 e a dor pela Escala Visual Analógica (EVA). As correlações entre os escores foram analisadas com nível de significância estatística de p < 0,05. Os resultados revelaram correlação positiva moderada e significativa entre PSQI e DAS28 (r = 0,5688; p = 0,0010), indicando que pior qualidade do sono está associada a maior atividade da doença. Foram observadas ainda correlações semelhantes entre PSQI e EVA (r = 0,5478; p = 0,0017), e entre EVA e DAS28 (r = 0,5576; p = 0,0014), sugerindo que a dor pode funcionar como mediadora entre o sono e a inflamação. Conclui-se que a qualidade do sono deve ser considerada um fator clínico relevante na avaliação multidimensional da AR.
