Abstract

This study presents a critical review of the text “Violence against women and gender violence: notes on feminist studies in Brazil”, by Cecília MacDowell Santos and Wânia Pasinato Izumino. We tried to characterize and differentiate the currents that, in the authors' conception, represent the main theoretical references of Social Sciences on this theme.
