Abstract

The present work is a review of the book “Torto Arado” that has originally been published in Portugal in 2018 and later in Brazil in 2019. Written by Itamar Vieira Júnior this qualified novel not only received different awards but also achieved a record of 100,000 book sells due to great sensitivity to portray the reality of Rural Brazil in a context that teaching, science and reading have been under attack in the country.
