Abstract

This essay discusses some of the contemporary discourses about the possibility of a coup comparing the current context with political and social elements in Brazil in the 1960s. We seek to show comparatively how the differences in context do not point to the possibility of a coup currently in Brazil at least in what concerns regarding to most recent elements.
