SINTOMAS DEPRESSIVOS E ANSIOSOS EM PROFISSIONAIS DE SAÚDE DAS UNIDADES DE PRONTO ATENDIMENTO NO CONTEXTO DA PANDEMIA DA COVID-19

Resumo

Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar os sintomas depressivos e ansiosos em profissionais de saúde das Unidades de Pronto Atendimento (UPAs) de Natal no contexto da pandemia da COVID-19, identificando prevalências e fatores associados. Realizou-se uma pesquisa quantitativa, transversal, com a participação de 172 profissionais de saúde. A coleta de dados ocorreu no segundo semestre de 2022 e incluiu informações sociodemográficas, ocupacionais e clínicas dos participantes, bem como a aplicação dos instrumentos de avaliação de sintomas depressivos (BDI) e ansiosos (BAI). Os resultados mostraram que aproximadamente 29% dos participantes apresentaram sintomas ansiosos moderados a severos, e 16% apresentaram sintomas depressivos moderados a severos. A análise multivariada revelou associações significativas entre os sintomas depressivos e as subescalas de burnout, especialmente a exaustão emocional (p=0,034) e a baixa realização pessoal (p=0,003). Além disso, pretos e pardos (p=0,006) e jornada de trabalho mistas e noturnas (p=0,044) estiveram significativamente associados a sintomas depressivos mais acentuados. Com relação aos sintomas ansiosos moderados/severos foi encontrado associação com a raça (pardos e pretos) (p= 0,031), insuficiência de Equipamentos de Proteção Individual (p=0,016), a perda de familiares por COVID-19 (p=0,032) e à presença de comorbidades clínicas (p=0,044). Este estudo evidencia a necessidade urgente de políticas públicas voltadas à promoção da saúde mental dos trabalhadores da linha de frente, com foco na equidade racial, segurança no trabalho e suporte psicossocial.
